2016 PRO Technical Regulations, Driver and teams

Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and Finnish Drivers use their
own country`s Technical Regulations. Drivers from other
countries must send their country`s Technical Regulations to
email@example.com for approvel at least 1 month prior to
an event. The Series are run under the rules of the
country the event is held.
In Norway all drivers must be over the age of 18 and have
valid drivers licence in addition to their personal drifting licence
and PRO licenced car. Norway also have the anti doping

1. Competition Vehicles
1.1 Technical Inspection
Prior to any racing activities all cars and driver equipment must
undergo a technical inspection by SPDS`s technical event
officials. During technical inspection there may only be one
representative from the team. The area should be closed off
and private as far as possible. All other personnel must leave
area. In addition every vehicle is subject to further technical
inspection at any time, before, during or after an event,
at the time and in the place and manner directed by the
Race Director. Not complying in full with any inspection request
may result in loss 0-10 if in a battle – and use of 5 minutes rule
to fix the problem, and/or disqualification for further competion and/or
the whole event.
All determinations by Race Director regarding the timing
and Method of technical inspection shall be final and not
subject to appeal or review.
Vehicles must maintain the original OEM unibody and/or frame
structure between the OEM front and rear suspension mounting
points. No trucks or SUVs will be allowed.
1.3 Sponsor Stickers, top front banner and startnumber
Race car must have all mandatory sponsor stickers and top
front banner and SPDS startnumber, and Your name before entering the track
for practice. (In most cases the number you used for Your last
competion is valid – if doubt, ask us. For Norwegian drivers use the same
as in the Norwegian Powerdrift Series) If missing stickers a penalty
fee must be paid – and also disqualification will happen in case
of missing stickers or front banner in the finals! (Use your number
from your National Series and put an S for Sweden DK for Denmark and
N for Norway together with your number.)
1.4 Fire extinguisher
It is mandatory for all teams to have at least one Fire extinguisher in the
paddock. We recommend all cars (must) from 2016 to have installed proper automatic Fire extinguisher,
both for external and internal activation.
1.5 Styling and car appearance
All cars must have all body parts intact at all time during an
event, in the same color that they was suppose to have and
with the same stickers, to enter the racetrack for both practice
and competition. We recommend all teams to have at least
one or two extra frontbumper and also other bodyparts if
needed, prepainted and with stickers. Any quickfix (Racing
tape and strips) will only be allowed if that’s the only solution

All cars must be weighed in a ready to drive state with the
driver who must be fully suited with helmet. A Scandinavian
Powerdrift Series Offical may check tire size at any time
during the event.
Tire size must not exceed the maximum size dictated by class
at any time on track.
1.7 Car exchange
No exchange of car during the competition is allowed. The car used in
first qualifying lap have to be used in the rest of the competition.
For the NeXT round you are fully allowed to Exchange car.

All teams must have their own tent and a liquid/oil proof

Any person, driver, crew member or other endangering others
will be disqualified from the race, and can also be excluded
from future SPDSeries events. Driver can also be held responsible
for his team members behavior at all times during an SPDSeries
